LOVE the color! How is it treating you so far.
Care to contrast and compare?

Awesome car. I have a new appreciation for the Z06 after seeing it in action last weekend!

The yellow one is faster. When I floor the throttle on the S, grab onto the steering wheel and hold on for your life because the thing turns into a rabid beast in full charge mode. The Z is much more civilized, but don't get me wrong, its very fast. The transmissions on both are excellent, but the S has much shorter throws. My only complaint on the Z is the Goodyear run flat tires. On asphalt roads they are quiet, but on concrete roads they are so loud a highway speeds that you can forget about your radio and don't even try to carry on a conversation or talk on a cell phone. But that problem will be solved soon when my HRE wheels arrive wearing Nitto Invo tires (345/25 ZR20's in the rear and 285/30 ZR19's in front). I was going to go with Michelin PS2's, but the 20" are on back order with no known ship date.

Fred, how long did it take you to get used to the power in your S2000 (or aren't you used to it yet)? I'm just curious...

I keep the boost tuned down to 14 psi which is just under 500 whp. That I feel comfortable with as long as I respect it. Anything over that is just too dangerous.

Looks like I'm waisting money on mods again. Here's the latest on my new red toy:

So far, I've added an intake, Corsa exhaust, HRE 19/20" wheels and Brembo brakes. Next will be coilovers to replace the leaf springs and a trip to Katech for some engine work. But that will have to wait until I sell my beloved S2000 which I will miss.

Looking good.

I hate how a car looks so great in person and then you take pictures and it looks much taller. Ever notice that?

Your fender gaps look "huge" (as they do on a stock S2000) but in person they look just fine.

How do you like the Brembos in comparison to the stock binders?

The stock brakes are quite good, but they will not last long on a HPDE. And the brake dust is the worst I have ever seen. But the Bremdo's are in a class of their own compared to stock. They will put seat belt bruises on your chest if you have tires that stick. I'm now running Nito Invos that are much better than the GY run flats.

The car looks fine in person as far as the tire/wheel arch gap goes, but it will look better when I get it lowered with the coilovers. I might be down in Dallas early next spring with the car. Hopefully it will coincide with one of the S2000 events.
