POLL: Black wheels on a blue car?

First I should say that I love my stock wheels. There are few wheels I like better. So I'm definitely keeping them. I'm just tired of burning through a set of sticky tires every 8-9 months and want to have a second set of wheels with the sticky tires. Then I'll throw some all-seasons on the stock wheels for most of my driving in town.
That being said, I completely agree with all the gun metal comments. I think that would look great with the blue. That's what I would really like, but they're hard to come by (that look good) when you're trying to do this on the cheap...meaning used & with tires to offset a little of the cost. Part of me is thinking I could paint them myself. Maybe that's an option too.
Jason - nice Mini!

I love having black track wheels on a dark green car...
That said, I don't really like the dark wheels on your car. The difference? My car has black accents (mirrors, rear exhaust trim, front splitter, fender vents, b-pillar trim, etc.), while your car has chrome accents. So instead of coordinating with the existing accent color on your car, you're adding a third color.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think I agree with you Iain.
I'm curious about Jason's comment though...the silver/gray combination. I know it still adds that 3rd color, but the silver lip might work. It sure looks good on that Mini and it's about the same color.

If the car was more bright blue and " COUPE " i think black will looks nice. But for sedan i pref more luxury style like chrome 19" or black/gunmetal with chrome around.
Here is midnight blue...but it's coupe. It should help with color tho. My comp acting so slow, couldn't find an sedan ones.

No chrome trim on the coupes.
Trentor, I thnk a black (or oreferably gunmetal) wheel with a polished lip would look nice on your car. The polished lip will pick up the chrome accents, and you'll still have a dark wheel. That's just my $.02.
