Thanks for the plug. Yeah- I'm not one to discriminate against street racers that learn the lesson the hard way.

I'm finishing up an engine swap this week and have another one that will probably consume a few months. I might be able to start while this other one is out. I can pretty well guarantee you 1/2 the cost of the dealer with better reliability and 10x the professionalism & quality of an independent or tuner shop. PM if you are interested.

Talk to German at GS Motorsports in Irving; i did my transmission swap there and he is going my future turbo build up.

Also do not buy an engine from DALLAS COUNTY AUTO SALVAGE!!! They are scammers and stole $750 bucks from me.

I have an 04 engine and tranny that I am not going to use (I have 2). PM me if you're interested.

They both have AP1 trannies.

You are looking at about $7k installed for a new OEM Honda head & block. That would be if your motor is complete trash which it may not be. If the block is salvagable that might save as much as $1500 off the bill. If the head isn't trashed then it might save $1000 depending on the extent of the damage (how many bent valves).

If you provide a motor/trans in ready-to-drop-in condition (meaning doesn't need seals, gaskets, or any other work), the labor for JUST a swap will be around $2300.

As mentioned before you can probably rule out 2006 for a swap, though. We're tied up through xmas at the rate we're going.

I might have an engine for you. We just need to extricate it from a crumpled car.

Regards,

Al

So are you going to strip the mods and then let insurance pick it up or just buy the whole thing back?
