No, please don't post on other boards. It's much nicer if there is a manageable crowd.
I haven't gotten to have any car fun in close to 2 years I need as much fun as I can fit in.
I'm bringing several of the younger Fort Worth crowd. This will be their first autocross. I am not sure they've even really seen an autocross.
If any of you are willing to give them ride alongs they would really appreciate it.

Selfish of me, I know. But I'm willing to come out a little early to keep the S2ki autox alive as well.

I am looking forward to this event. Weather will be warm but dry. I would very much like to see more drivers. However, even if we do have a last minute surge in registration, it looks like we will be able to run a couple more laps than normal (more driving time) without staying in the heat longer than normal. I am always up for that.
Remember to bring plenty of drinking water, sun protection and your helmet.

But I am fine with what ever the club decides to do.

With it being so hot I would like to stay at 8 runs so we can finish before it gets to hot. If we have a small turn out maybe do 5 runs in the morning and 3 runs after lunch.

It gets hot in mineral wells only because of all the S2000s...haha
And yes, if you do the 7K clutch dump, the temp will rise rapidly...

He was talking more about the temp outside, not the temp of his vehicle.
I wouldn't mind doing an extra run or two if we have the time, hot or not. There's a lot of energy/effort that goes into the event, so why sell yourself short on the time. If you can fit more into the time you planned to be out there then I think that's better than having less time out there.

I was just trying to be funny, I guess I did not do a good job, but I guess you are always in your serious mode

Indeed, only 21 entrants makes it difficult to staff the coner stations properly. Perhaps we'll do what we had to last time - three groups of seven, with two of the groups corner working at any given time. Makes for more time to get everybody on/off the stations, but otherwise having less than ten people out to shag cones doesn't work well.
Reminder - because of the paypal issues, if you've signed up, double-check that you're on the entry list.

It should not be that bad. We have played cricket in 105 degrees out there and it's a 7 - 8 hour game and you are running around almost all of the time.
Key is to not to let yourself dehydrate. Drink a lot of water, even if you are not thirsty, drink water! The best thing is to start drinking loads of water the night before so your water has enough when you get there and keep a bottle with you at all times and just not let yourself dehydrate.
Sunblock also plays a vital role when you are out there for so long.
