What happens if it rains during the autocross?
We still go for it or it gets postponed?
It's way too early to get dependable weather for next Saturday. Hopefully it will at least be dry. However, the event is rain or shine. The good thing about the lot is that it is still pretty drivable in the rain.

Weather events that have led to autocross cancellations:

Dust storm with 60mph winds
Ice storm
Hurricane

A little rain is nothing.

I believe people remove all the extra stuff from the trunk for:

1. Things are not flying in the trunk
2. Lose all the extra weight from the car.
3. You will have to remove your driver side mat as well once you get there as it can move and cause problems while you are driving.
4. You can bring the tape and tape it at the event.

If the amp is not going to move from turning hard on corners, I would not worry about it but it's your personal choice

Am sure "someone" will correct me if I am wrong or missing anything

Nope, you pretty much got it on the head. As long as the amp is actually permanently secured (not velcro'd or something crazy) then you can leave it in.

So what happens if there are heavy objects being push around in your car? Will it cause damage?
