The location of the finish line is pretty unimportant in this case, except that moving it changes how much stopping distance is available. Moving it further away would just give some advantage to the higher powered cars.

If the starting timer is where I think it is, then I'll feel like I wasn't really trying to win if I don't take it out at least twice.

This looks pretty complex for a beginner. I've been looking over the placement of cones, etc. and think I have figured out what different combination of cones mean and how to figure out where to go next. I am getting anxious to do my first run.

I'll definitely be looking for some very experienced people to ride with me and give me tips and pointers.

Im a noob as well. Ive had my s2k for about 2 months now and went to my first event 3 weeks ago. The tracks are tricky your first runs, I had 3 DNFs before I got the track down, but once you learn the course its a blast.

Let me know when you are ready to make your runs and either myself or a delegate will hop in with you. Feel free to ride with me if we are in the same run-group. I will be in the white Miata with blue stripes.

You can ride with me the first couple of times. I'll need someone riding shotgun to remind me to do the loop 2 times. (You think I'm joking! I'm not.)

That course isn't all that complex. I only count 8 turns (or 13 if you count the slalom and chicaines). Granted, some of those 8 turns are long turns with changing radii...

It will be interesting to see how many cars can run on the course at once!

It was designed as a two-car course.

I'll have someone ride with me on my first run (maybe two!) I have a habit of being fairly anxious and getting lost.

I'll take you up on this. I've heard that noobs can get lost on a course and venture off accidentally.
