I just read Dennis' blog. It was very moving. I don't know if I met him when I was doing autocrosses in my '02 S2000. How old is he?
I understand some of what he is going through. I'm a contractor with no company provided insurance. I went without insurance for years until last March, when I bought a cheap high deductible plan for my family. Just 6 months after that, my 39 year old wife was diagnosed with breast cancer (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma). If not for that cheap insurance policy, the testing alone would have cost us about $50K. She just had a bilateral mastectomy 2 weeks ago, which might be $100K. She will have a reconstruction in a few months that might be another $100K. I have no idea how much chemo will cost. Thanks to God for the chain of random events that finally motivated me to buy that insurance policy. I had been putting it off for years because we never got sick!

Kinda wish the finish was a little further back, but given it's proximity to the timing areas I can see why hauling ass there wouldn't be a great idea.
gernby - you planning on taking out the starting timer?
