[QUOTE=xmatt,Nov 23 2009, 11:36 AM]I think I'd agree -- if it were me, I'd rather do 40-second laps with fewer DNFs at the start and have the event finish on time and maybe get some fun runs in.

Looks interesting. but i liked this past course. It was fun, challenging and frustrating at the same time. I think it gave me an edge while being a noob, i'm afraid to think how far lower on the list i would be if everybody knew the course fully.

Actually yeah, I like that quite a bit. Certainly shorter, but the path is clear there's still some interesting technical bits where the fastest way through isn't obvious. Nobody gets lost, but you have to be good to be fast.
Again, not saying I didn't enjoy Sunday's course -- I really did -- but with this course I think I would have spent my laps working on perfecting my lines and speed rather than 3 of them getting cone placement through my head.

I liked the course, and wouldn't want it to be any shorter. The only problem I could see with the course is that it prevented us from doing a drive through.

I didn't think NTAXS ever did parade laps. They always seem like kind of a poor use of time to me anyway, but that's just personal opinion.

Parade laps depend on the venue. We usually do not have them at Pennington Motor Speedway (PMS) because you either have a loop (criss-cross-crash) or the area is just too small for so many cars on the course at once. I usually skip them at TMS in order to save time because we pay the emergency crew by the hour. So, that just leaves Mineral Wells (MineralRing). I am not a fan of them, but so many others are that I do not mind doing them at The 'Ring.
