I really wouldn't say it's a normal strategy for me. Rather I still have a habit to drive the car below the limit because I am still tentative dealing with the rear end moving around cause the GTI never did much of that. Being very aggressive makes me have to deal with it and learn. For this event the setup allowed for really fast slaloms, but the high speed entry/sweepers were poor from the softer front bar setting so I was trying to get as much out of the places I could.

However, more importantly then all of that was I just messed up. I listened to someone and against my better judgment and took a 5th morning run. This gave me fewer opportunities in the afternoon when the surface really gets quick, and I also did not realize I was coning quite as much as I was until it was all done.

You are welcome to grab a ride with me anytime. I think NTAXS events are over for a few months but you can also ride along at any other clubs events as well.

Just wanted to stop by and give a big THANK YOU for the great time I had Saturday. I've attended a couple of autocrosses by other clubs and yours was the friendliest and best run by far.

Special shout out to Nathan, for volunteering to ride with me and helping me cut about 5 seconds off my time. It was nice not being the "comic relief" for once.

Looking forward to running with you guys again in the fall.
