In case you weren't joking.. I think the M3 is black, not the driver! I could be wrong, though.

From what I have experienced and what I hear the NTS2KOC hosts one of the best and most popular aurocross series in the area - just ask all of those Miata pilots.
Y'all certainly do. That's why we keep coming back to kick your butts year after year.

Seriously, though - in my book NTS2kOC definitely does put on the most enjoyable autocross series in DFW. Good people, good courses, and restricted turnout make for great events.

One comment/question from the R compound weenie camp, though - is there any way we can try to schedule 10-12 (or more) cars per "run group" this Saturday? In this heat the faster R compounds (and the faster street tires like Azenis as well) get overheated in 2-3 runs when we're doing back-to-back runs. I don't know about you, but I'd rather space the runs a little further apart than melt a $600+ set of tires.

Also, the heat takes a serious toll on engine cooling systems. I think giving everyone (and their cars) a little chance to cool down between runs when it's almost 100 degrees is a good idea. It's a long tow back from Mineral Wells if you blister a tire or frag a radiator.

I am asian. The M3 is Cosmos black. I guess I haven't quite mastered the use of the illusive comma yet

I think I met a few of you guys @ two rows in Allen for a meet one time. Hopefully i'll see you out there on saturday as well.

Is there still any interest in meeting up in the DFW area and caravanning out to MW? The plan looks like 6:30 AM @ bass pro shop in grapevine right next to grapevine mills mall.

It's right off 121, take the bass pro drive exit which takes you straight into the parking lot.

WTF!!!
I just checked out the registration and it looks like you're running Ruth's car on R-compounds?!?! Dammit! I'm trying to stay ahead of Mark in the points race so I can get a trophy and people (you & Gregg) keep coming in and bumping me further down the list! You bastards!

The series is too far along for me to hope to win anything this year as this is my first autocross. However, I will do my best to disrupt things as much as possible.

It's going to be a learning curve figuring out how to master a low-torque, high revving, nimble roadster versus my former fat-tired monster torque, not as nimble, but still got the job done American sports car.

It's hard to practice handling at absolute limits on the streets around here in Las Collinas. I am figuring out how far I pop the back end out around corners without spinning though, so I'll be entertained either way. hehe..

You're still on street tires, so I'm not worried about you.

I'm going to see if my 17 inch C5 race wheels/tires fit. Will a 275 40/17 fit in front and a 315/35/17 in rear? Probably not.

Wonder if those would fit my C6?

If they did, and you had sticky rubber on them, I don't think the S2000 would have enough torque to turn them.
