Actually, a better explanation I have heard is that being cinched down in the shipping container and bounced across the Pacific for a few weeks probably takes its toll on the factory alignment. I would guess that Honda probably takes more care with the alignment at the factory than most dealers do on their pre-delivery checklist (pretty sure the alignment is on that list).

Not to mention the factory alignment is for a street car. A little more neg camber and a hair of toe out up front will probably help some.

I probably do need to take a look at the alignment, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt anything. Any recommendations on specs that won't be too brutal (wear wise) for daily driver street use and also do good at the track too?

Another great event hosted by NTS2K! The course was fun, fast and flowed really well. I think there were more Miata's than S2K's!

Nah, I agree that it's the tires, not alignment. I did a UK spec alignment on my '04 when I got it and the difference was negligible. However, using 225 front / 255 rear Victoracers gave the car a spot-on balance. I did a side-by-side comparison of my 215 wide RE050 to EgoThreat's 205 wide S02, and the S02 suprisingly appeared wider.

sammm, there's ALWAYS more Miatas at the events these days.

James (60N5.5) and I stayed after to help pickup cones. After that I was about dead from heat exhaustion and took the prudent step of going to recoup with a cold one in air conditioning

Great event, even with the hot weather. Thanks again to the organizers!

Sorry I didn't stay you guys... I would have had I known that a couple of people had gone and ransacked/cleaned (aka just throw it in a box and put it in another room so it's out of sight... grrr) my house so everything was already done when i got there.... but as I said before I'll help next time... and you can hold me to that.
