Default Noise from rear

Can anyone recommend a shop that can remedy the situation?

Noise from rear and it's CV Joints? CV boots and joints are only in the front I think.

Edit: For about $600, I recommend Honda House in Carrolton.

Cool, thanks I was able to get an appointment for tomorrow morning. I assume you've had personal experience with them? The lady that took the appointment acted like I was speaking Japanese when I told her my car was an S2000.

Tones of personal experience - I used to take my 93 Honda there, and my current 01 Toyota... When My S is out of warranty, I will take it there too.

Talk to Mike or Bill - they are who always take care of me.

Well, I got a call from them this morning, and they seem to think its my 4.77's that are making all the noise. I kinda suspected it because the noise was very similar to the noise it already makes at light-throttle. The good news is that I was already getting tired of the old noise it made intermittantly and was already planning to go back to stock.

Does anyone know if there is any reason you shouldn't re-use a ring & pinion (I still have my 4.10's)? I'd like to just buy a comptech diff and put the old factory gears back in.

This of course is assuming they were correct about the noise coming from the diff...

Noise from rear?

It could be the food you ate last night.

What's the noise like? I replaced my left rear wheel bearing because it went bad. The sound was in time with the wheel rotation.

It sounds like metal on metal to me. Like I said, all I know is that it comes from the rear and only when the car is rolling. It's very easy to hear when in neutral going at a decent speed.
