New S2k owner here
Hey whats up, my name is Mark. I just went out this past saturday and bought me a 2001 Yellow S2000. This is by far the most fun I've got out of driving a car. Found this forum a day or two after that and just wanted to introduce myself.
I had a few questions if anyone's got the time. What are some major cosmetic differences from my 01 to the current model (exterior, interior)? My back window (plastic) looks kinda crappy, can it be replaced with a glass window, and if so, how hard would that be to do? What are some good aftermarket links to check out for these cars?
Thanks guys!

Hi, new guy Hope you're having fun with the new car...I still am and have had mine for over a year now.
Here's a link to some info on glass window conversion (no first-hand experience, but the Clovis mentioned in this article is our North Texas Clovis, so maybe he'll chime in on this one): https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...ace+rear+window
The main cosmetic differences are the styling of the front bumper, headlights and taillights, the instrumentation arrangement, and the center console cupholder thingy. There may be others but those are the only ones I can think of right off.
As far as aftermarket stuff, I dunno. You can always look in the Vendor Center on this board (s2ki.com): https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=5
.....or do a site search for whatever item you're looking for and see if anybody has been discussing it.

I think that's the top with the glass. I've seen some talk somewhere on this Board about the actual possibility of putting glass into an '00-'01 soft top, but I don't recall what the outcome was. I'm sure Clovis will know and will make some comment when he sees this.

To replace the rear window with glass you'll need to replace the entire top. The cost is $650 from Ganley Honda plus installation. I've been considering doing these installs. It's about a 6-7 hour job. To just clean the plastic see my reply in the "purchasing used s2000" thread.
