Sooo...
Since I was recommended (by a certain instructor we all know) to move up to the blue group at my next DE, but have not actually soloed, should I hold off on a NASA event until I get at least one more MSR DE under my belt?
If it is a pretty laid back crew, it may not be the best place for a relative newbie, especially one that's only been out at MSR on a rainy, slow-driving, day. Hmmmm...

Keep in mind that you (and myself...twice) have only driven MSR BACKWARDS -- not forwards. Not sure how much of a difference it makes, but in my mind, I'd have to re-learn everything about the track and wouldn't mind either some instruction or time to bring myself up to speed.

Regardless, I'm out of town skiing in NM that weekend...

can anybody comment on the safety of the NASA DE's. I have heard from numerous people that they are "laid back". What does this mean when it comes to safety. Corner workers are still there right? I prefer rigid standards when it comes to safety.

I have heard from the PCA group that even TDE events aren't safe enough.
