NASA TX DE May 21-22 at MSR

Sooo...
Since I was recommended (by a certain instructor we all know) to move up to the blue group at my next DE, but have not actually soloed, should I hold off on a NASA event until I get at least one more MSR DE under my belt?
If it is a pretty laid back crew, it may not be the best place for a relative newbie, especially one that's only been out at MSR on a rainy, slow-driving, day. Hmmmm...

can anybody comment on the safety of the NASA DE's. I have heard from numerous people that they are "laid back". What does this mean when it comes to safety. Corner workers are still there right? I prefer rigid standards when it comes to safety.
I have heard from the PCA group that even TDE events aren't safe enough.
