Austins gotta be more than 180 miles..... From Dallas to Waco (Baylor) its 120 miles. If it takes about 1hr 45min to travel to baylor..... and almost double to Austin. I think Austin is 240 give or take.

I used to drive my S2000 over longer distances frequently. The furthest I can remember was 310 miles before I filled up again. I would not push my luck much further.

This assumes a starting point in downtown Dallas (near Ackard and Federal) and an ending point in Austin (Congress Ave and 5th street).

DFW Airport to Arkansas, last year, 1 1/8 tank of gas. Like 301 miles, I could check my log book but who really cares and he's already gone. If you left at the right time and hit no traffic, you might be able to strecth it out. My trip meter was at like 275-285. I hit traffic on my way up too. I was so close, and didn't want to stop once I got inside the city. Easier to fill up outside city limits if you're just passing through.
DFW Airport to Austin, Jan 06, less than 1 tank, 202 miles from my House to Freescale Semiconductor which is South side of the city. This one I know for sure beacuse it was a Company trip and I had to keep track of every mile so I could get PAID!

I pulled up some old MPG figures from my log book. From my door to where I go in Austin it was 267 miles. I knew I was thinking Austin was about 300 miles for some reason.
I live in Richardson and was travelling to West Austin &/or San Marcos not Downtown to Downtown as Mapquest figures it.
I still would use just 2 tanks of gas and that included all my driving around down there.

I've filled up the tank a couple times with over 300 on the trip meter, but that was after steady driving on an Interstate the entire time. In any case I've often achieved mileage in the high 20s in various situations.

And the verdict is in...
Cruise set to 80, a few charging passes, and 295 miles later, I made it to Benton with no bars showing... But, I might have made it since I only put 10.X gallons in.
Thanks guys
