I had top time of the hour (on my first run, with the wife in the car ) at the performance challenge. Jon W managed top time the next two hours, and also had top time of day when we left at 3pm.
I scored well enough to get the Gran Turismo 4 MX-5 Edition... too bad I don't have a PS2. I sucked at the golf ball thing, though - I just don't have the patience to drive that slow
All in all it was pretty fun, although I wish they would have just let us do hot laps in the RX-8 without the "chalk talk" and the instructors. My instructor started talking about looking ahead and blah, blah, blah... when he paused, I told him "that's pretty much what I tell my students." At the end of the run, he joked that I ought to ride along with him for a run. Still, I would have appreciated the opportunity to do more than one hot lap on the RX-8 course.

I got 85 points... not bad, but not great either. Also was dissapointed in the RX-8 area; but the rest were fun. I wasn't too bad at the golf ball thing...except it was really difficult to concentrate on the front of the car instead of a bunch of cones ahead

The timing equipment wasn't working when I did the performance challenge, and the lines were too long for me to want to try again.
I lolligagged on the MatchTime event, thinking I had plenty of time, and even lifted before the finish... ended up being 3 seconds over. Again, the line was too long for me to want to try again.
Did the golf-ball thing twice. First time, all three balls came out of the bowl when I braked for the first corner. The second time, I kept all of them in, but was ~2 seconds over.
All-in-all, I've been to better events. The lines were too long for my tastes. Still, I enjoyed driving the Miata. It has nice low-end to mid-range torque for a small car. The balance seemed pretty good, too, but I didn't really get enough seat time to tell.
