Concerning the potential drive, I was not able to get it organized for this event. Sorry about that.

Look forward to seeing you there.

I tell them about the owners club and explain a little bit about what goes on and whatnot. the gatherings, the autocrosses, the wealth of information.
How're they on doing warranty work on cars that have been autocrossed? I know legally Honda would have a hard time turning anyone down on the S, since much of their media publicity touted the car as a weekend track car (and I have copies of all of that ). I bought mine at David McD in Irving, though for service I will take it to Rusty Wallace since I don't really want to spend 45 minutes driving to the dealership ......

And what a wonderful husband you have...getting you R compounds for Valentine's Day. That's so romantic.
Well....what's everybody else getting for Valentine's Day? I'll bet mine tops most V-Day gifts And I guess it is kinda romantic (c'mon...we've been married for 16-1/2 years)....he's not really crazy about my love of autocross, since it's something he's not particularly interested in doing any more, but he's buying me tires so I can continue to do it for another season. I got a helmet and a Saner bar for Christmas.... As far as flowers, a few years ago he came home with 2 dozen beautiful red roses on Valentine's Day. I went over to admire them and smell them, but realized as I leaned in toward them that they were silk. I thought, "Wow! That's a bright idea.". I said, "They're beautiful...I think I'll cut them down a little so they'll fit in that nice big crystal vase. Do you have any wire cutters?" He hands me scissors. After watching me struggle to cut the stems with scissors for about 5 minutes, he goes out to find wire cutters. That worked a little better, but I jokingly remarked that maybe we should put them through the band saw. At that point he took the wire cutters and grabbed a rose to start cutting. As he bit through the plastic stem with the cutters and realized he'd reached wire, he said, "These aren't real!!! But they had them sitting in a bucket of water!" I told him how clever I thought he was to have gotten such realistic-looking fakes, and they stay out year-round. Everybody who sees them says, "Somebody must've done something special!"

Oh, Temming, don't worry about the drive. I'm not sure there are too many who'd actually want to take a spirited drive in the rain on Saturday...I know I can live without it.

I wanted to come see everybody (especially you, Ruth! my fellow Rockwall resident!!) this Saturday since I'm not on my business trip for a change!! But I'm actually leaving on Saturday to Cozumel, Mexico. My husband and I will be underwater, drift diving, among beautiful reefs and fish and sharks!!
