Know any good lawyers? Got a speeding ticket O_o

Im 26, speed limit was actually 65, I did defensive driving because the ticket for no left turn signal actually cost me MORE than this ticket. Plus at 25+ they wont even let me take defensive driving anyway. Like I said, first speeding ticket in my life.
I just want to be able to pay the fine (about 233 bucks) and have it not go on my record. Plus pay the lawyer. Any names?

Hey Civiclx, sorry to hear bout the ticket, careful in southlake and cville man those guys are c***rags 90% of the time..
I would check into deffered adjudication (sp?), thats basically pleading no contest, paying the ticket fine and going on probation for 90 days, which shouldnt be a problem for you if this is your first speeding ticket, plus it will keep it off your record, just dont be late for work again.

Jesus... Don't just pay the ticket... And for God's sake don't hire an attorney... No reason to make those scumbags any richer.
Go to the court yourself in person and ask the judge to grant you a deferred. Be super respectful and dress professionally. Don't know what you'll get unless you ask.

That's worth $60 to me! Along with not having to show up to court...

just for kicks.. were you going 85? or does the ticket just say '25+ over speed limit' and you were going like 200?
could be relavent whether or not the judge will grant you deffered, but i agree with the rest of the guys, ive only heard good things about hiring lawyers, i would go that route for sure

The scumbag attys play golf and go to bbqs with the judges... And quite frankly, my atty never did anything for me I couldn't have done for myself. I have been pro-se for the last 4 years, gotten everything I requested, and have saved literally thousands of dollars.
Write me the check, I'll get you off the ticket.
