Know any good lawyers? Got a speeding ticket O_o
Hey guys, I was heading to work, a little late and was traveling at way too excessive speeds. Needless to say, got a ticket 25+MPH over the posted limit (60) in Southlake. I have never had a speeding ticket in my life, however, i just did defensive driving for a ticket I got in dallas for no left turn signal. Does anyone have a good lawyer they can recommend? I am willing to pay upwards of 500 bucks to keep this off my record. I just don't want insurance premiums to go up. Thanks!

just pay it. when ur going 25+ theres no chance of you winning. i mean c mon you were obviously going way over. even with the radar error of 5% it still comes up with 80. which is still alot from 60......if you were going less you prolly would have had a chance. as for defensive driving you can only do it one time a year to dismiss a ticket. why did you do DD for a no turn signal? i wouldve taken the hit and saved mine if i got a speeding ticket and thats what im doing

What city was it in? Some can be pretty lenient on this if you ask the prosecutor (not all traffic courts have one)
Otherwise Get a traffic attorney, their fees usually run $50-$75 per citation and you'll never have to go anywhere near the courthouse.
You'll most likely have to pay the fine, but they can keep it off your record.

you cant do Defensive driving for anything over 25 over the speed limit or 80+.. its hard to do, but u can get it dismissed..
Cop told me I was going about 130-135 he just couldn't clock me in time, because I slowed down but he was right haha.

defenseive driving depends on age.. formula red.. how old are u? the cutoff year is 25.. as long as u r under 25 yrs old.. you have to take defensive driving for deferred.. or if a lawyer plea bargains.. defensive driving gets thrown into it..
