John Eagle collision
OK,
Any Excellent/ Good/ Bad/ Ugly comments on the work John Eagle's collision center does?
They estimated they would probably remove the fender to repair dent, and repaint the fender seperate from the car. I have to admit that makes me a bit nervous... Has anyone with a red had any paint work done... any recommendations that it be blended or since it is a base color have you seen a repaint done on one panel that still matched well with the rest of the car?
Let the torrent begin (I know repair shops are always a passionately discussed topic) unless of course no one has ever seen work from John Eagle If they screwed something up, did they fix it in the end without too much hassle?
Thanks guys,

i've had work done there 2ce. They have matched my paint very well. That should not be a problem. I had some problem with the quality of work that was done and the amount of time it took for the work to be done. They did a good job. but not a great job. If i were you i'd try to find another place first. There is 2 twin brothers and their father that work at the shop. If i were you i'd talk to you father. i forget his name... it was like randy or something.... just my 2 cents....

Same ding I got a few weeks back from a cart... Just happens to big pretty big and took off paint and primer all in a big chip. More comes off when I wash it, just punched a nice right angle so the paint pops right off...

To see if there is any fading to worry about compare inside the door jams to the outside surface. If no fading, off the car or masked off is less risk than feathering. Red isn't metallic like silver or yellow is it? If not metallic then it should not be a difficult match job.
If you want to try other than dealer, I had many chances to deal with dents when my children were in high school. My youngest daughter repainted the Suburban, one corner at a time. I've had good luck at Atlas in Richardson, and they would usually offer a quicker turnaround and a better price if they know it's on your nickel, not insurance. Of course I was a frequently repeating customer.
