I still have the headset for both iPhones. I wonder if there is a setting somewhere to turn the headset microphone on or off. It really seems like a stretch to think that I've received 2 defective headsets.
Try making a call with them.

I tried it again, and it DOES work!! I must not have pushed the plug in hard enough, since it was much harder to pull out this time.

any try to see if there iphone 4 works with the USA SPEC connector?
Yes mine works w/ the USA Spec adapter. Although it's a bit buggy, I think if you sync the phone and still have the ipod running in multitask it will bug out and won't play. It seems to be bugged out roughly about 30% of the time.

I was rally surprised to see how much people are willing to pay for a used iPhone 3G. I just sold my white 16 GB 3G for $180. I was planning to give it to my wife, but decided to get her an iPhone 4 instead.

BTW, here is a short video from a fireworks show last night on Joe Pool Lake. I was surprised it turned out so well.

Yes the 720p recording is done at 30fps. But I don't think youtube does 30fps, they compress the video by a pretty big margin.

Hey can someone who works in the dallas downtown area test out the 3g speed? there's a free speedtest.net app. Supposedly dallas is on the list for the new HSUPA speeds, which is like 3.5g and you are supposed to get like somewhere between 6-10Mbps. Compared to normal 3g which is tops of like 2Mbps is my highest I ever got.

oh wait, n/m i'm on tmobile

I doubt it is anywhere close to 30 FPS. I've noticed that some video I've captured is very choppy, but I believe that could be due to me not shutting down the apps in the background. I wish there was a way to disable multitasking in iOS4. I also wish there were options for video resolution. If I could record at 480P with a higher frame rate, I would do it.
