I had the cel light on my accord for a faulty gas cap, i just replaced it with one from walmart and it worked perfectly fine.

go with oem i bought a o'reilys on and months went by and got a CEL didnt know why took to autozone and they told me that they didnt know what the code meant so ask honda and i did and ended up doing a diagnostic ended up being like 175 for the freaking test for a damn gas cap.

Clean it up and take it back and odds are they'll pass you. I did.

It's the new scam at inspection stations. They then try to sell you an overpriced one.

While waiting for my retest I heard them come back in and tell 6 other people their gas cap didn't pass and offer to sell them an overpriced one. 5 bought it. I was able to warn the 6th guy ahead of time.
