I asked one of my mom's friends who used to work as an adjuster for Geico.

He said they do drop people for racing-type events and that they send out young looking people to the actual events to get the plates in that manner.

Just tape over all your VIN numbers and take your plate off on-site.

Or better yet, do as Iain suggests in his original post, and drop Geico for a carrier that doesn't suck.

I'm so happy I have USAA. I'm not entirely sure of their on-track coverage at this point, but they are so great to work with it almost brings a tear to my eye.

That geico gecko can get anywhere! First it is the hospital room during childbirth delivery and now the local autox events? Sheesh!
