Any suggestions on a good place in the Dallas area to buy a SA2000 helmet for autocross? Any input on specific brands/models that you like? I do wear eyeglasses so I was considering the Bell M2. I would like to find a place locally as opposed to ordering online so I can be sure to get a proper fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Davo, I'm not sure where to find them locally. I think TypeSH could tell you though; send him a PM. I bought my Bell SR-Pro from OG Racing online. They have a nice website with good sizing and fit info. I measured my head and they sent me the correct size. Pretty easy...

Davo, definetly try it on prior to buying. Motorcycle shops often carry the largest selection. Fit and comfort are in my opinion the most important aspects of the purchase.Becaues you could buy a
$500 Arai helmet that fits poorly and you will hate it. I have found HJC helmets reasonably priced and comfortable. Also, buy a head sock to soak sweat so your helmet doesnt smell like an old stinky basketball shoe. Gerry

Bate's Discount Motorcycle which is on the west side of I35E between Beltline and Valwood has a reasonable selection of Snell M2000 rated. Can get open face HJC Snell M2000 for about $90. You do not need SA for autocross. Autocross accepts M (motorcycle) rating. I have seen some track events that say M is acceptable. Can't say for sure that that is true for all however. The only place you definitely need SA is wheel to wheel racing (along with double layer firesuit etc.)

Decent shop that worked a deal for my HJC AC-10 (similar to Shoei) full face helmet (also good for carts):
