You guys do realize this race is three months away? Your work schedules are planned 3 months in advance? I wish I was that organized.....

****Friday May 12 - Group drive to Houston, American Le Mans
*Saturday May 13 - Champ Car Night Race
*Sunday May 14 - Group drive back to Dallas******

It's more like a combination of advance planning and last minute emergencies. International travel is a b*tch brotha'

Tickets have been ordered! We are in Section 4, about half way up (~row 10). Should be good seating with the cars coming toward us, braking, turning, and accelerating away. They are planning on lots of passing here as well.

If you haven't called the hotel yet now is a good time...

I also ordered 5 extra tickets for the stragglers (and so we could get the group discount).

Yep, everyone is staying at the Fairfield as far as I know. The car club corral parking is a work in progress but looking good.

So I just went online to book a hotel room at the Fairfield using Travelocity. I'm wondering if any of you actually called by phone to book it?

I scrolled down to fairfield galleria and it says "This hotel is closed till further notice due to Hurricane Rita" Wondering if anyone knows anything about this or if Travelocity just hasn't updated their website yet?

Also did everyone get a quote for 69+tax or did we get some sort of discount?

Just call them up for the $69 rate. The hotel is open.
