Played with it over the weekend and it's pretty cool. I now have unlimited data and it's cheaper than what I was paying on my previous plan. That is the only good thing about the damn thing using EDGE instead of UMTS, you pay less for the data! I'm pretty happy with the phone. You can enable your yahoo/google/aol, or any IMAP email and it syncs it up live, and you get notification on receipt of emails. @ the crib, I put the MAC address of the Iphone into my router and surf on the Iphone while next to the pool. The best part of this deal is that I got it free

It's been years and I never got my free iPod... if their software works for you the first time then more power to you... if it screws up then good luck getting anybody to look at it let alone fix it.

You make it sound as if you have to do something special to get your iPhone to hook up with your wifi network. Other than whatever security configurations YOU set on your router nothing special is required.

The iPhone seeks out wifi connections (since they are faster than phone internet connections) and automatically asks if you want to connect. It is quite transparent and painless.

Doug 076 Apple's software has always been very bug free and has required minimal interference or tweaking from dealers or techs. As far as getting someone to look at it, not a problem either simply go to an Apple dealer. Just as you don't take your Honda to a Cadillac dealer for service you don't go to a PC dealer to have your Apple looked at.
