Free: Black Leather Couch
We're getting new couches and I need my old one gone. It's going to the dump this Wed AM if someone doesn't come pick it up.
It's a big, overstuffed 3-seater Leather Center couch I paid $1500 for 10 years ago. Condition is so-so, one seat cushion looks OK but was chewed underneath by my dog. Could be repaired or you could just live with it like we have (not noticeable from the top side). One of the other cushions has worn down to the leather; we use a colored leather balm to get around this. When we "balm" it it's OK for a few months, then it needs to be done again.
I won't lie, with 3 kids the couch has been barfed on and we had a dog for a while that damn near lived on it. We've cleaned it pretty regularly and of course tended to the barf immediately. Being leather it cleans up easily and well.
Other than all that it's in pretty good shape. A great bachelor's couch or one for someone that's not very picky or going to host beer bashes on it.
Some pictures:
The torn cushion:
Which you can't see when the cushion is in place- since the back cushion sits on top of all the damage.
I'll also add this was one NICE couch and is solidly built. Still uber-comfortable and if you want a black leather couch, it'd be worth getting and having the torn cushion and maybe faded cushion repaired. This thing probably has another 10 or 20 years of life in it if you do that.
The Leather Center can build a cushion by just dropping off the leather swath that's stapled to the bottom of the couch, they retain all their patterns and materials for that purpose indefinitely. A mom and pop place can probably do just as well cheaper. We just don't want a black leather couch anymore.
So- PM if interested.

A while back, I asked what is the oddest thing you've carried in your car... someone posted a picture of a couch in an eclipse spyder.
The best response? ...Something along the lines of "Do fat chicks count?"
