Default Finally an owner!

Well, after more than a decade of owning and racing Mazdas and threatening to buy an S2000, I finally followed through on my threat.

I took delivery of marcucci's '01 on Sunday. It may be a month or two before I have it ready to take to the track, but I'm enjoying driving it in the meantime!

Congrats Iain, welcome to the gang. I am sure you are going to love this car as much as we all did/do. Now it's time for miatamoto to finally buy one and join the club!!

Congrats on the purchase, but it's a shame that marcucci gave it up!

Do you plan to start autocrossing it immediately, or wait until it's better prepped?

Thanks! Todd actually delivered the car to me yesterday on his way to pick up his next toy - a locost project that currently has a Miata drivetrain. I think he intends to swap that out for an F20C.

I intend to use this car more for track days, but I still need to pick up some parts first (tires, pads, maybe some shocks). I tapped out my "racing slush fund" to buy the car, so it may be another month or so before it's ready for track duty.

I've got a competitive autocross co-drive this season, so I'll continue to autocross Mike's MX-5 most of the time. I might bring this out occasionally. Next season - who knows?

Congratz! you got marcucci's S, so you know it's been taken care of.

Not to hijack the thread, but if anyone else is looking for one, I'm selling mine

So I guess we wont be seeing you at MSR 1.7 on the 23rd??

The S2k is still pretty fun stock...though since you know how to drive you would probably at least need some better pads. I have a set of front Hawk HP+ if you want em. Still like new. $20 since I wont be using em.

I'm still up in the air about the MSR event on the 23rd...
