I don't miss my Civic at all while I am at work... I don't have to think about people dinging it with their doors when they try to get out of their cars with arms full of crap for work...
What is worse? Missing my fun car while I sit at my desk at work or being too afraid to drive my fun car on fun days due to mileage?
Really now... buy a $1500 beater... drive it to work a few times a week... drive the S2K the rest of the time... done.

Just a FYI. Subie has 0.0 on '06 STI's and 2.9 on '07s until the end of the month. You can get an '06 for 30k OTD or an '07 for 30k + TTL. I've never seen it better to buy one and you can do a wing delete on the car and it will look like a sleeper. Once you remove the wing, the car looks great, gets decent mileage, does 0-60 under 5 seconds, handles like a MOFO, definitely trackable, and has 4 doors and a boot for utility.

They are clearing the 06/07 because they are ugly as hell (looks like a Saturn Ion) and the 08 will be coming out in not-too-long fashion with a new face. Subaru is all about screwing up the face of the car and then changing it mid-run (02-03 was changed for the same reason).

And folks ask me why I drive the truck so much?
Dude, don't sell the S. Buy a beater.

Less than 23k miles for $22k. Not too shabby.
