Fall Colors Trip Suggestion...

Fall Colors Trip Suggestion...
I just finished driving 2100 miles to Indiana and back; the fall colors in Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky were breath taking... and they were only about 50% done. While I was impressed, I found my wife wasn't- she kept saying "This road will be so pretty when the colors change..." Huh? Our different view points were due to our glasses. I found out by looking over my sunglasses, the colors diminished by at least 50%. But the view through my Serengeti Driver lens was spectacular. Don't leave home without them. Get your Serengeti's before the trip to enjoy the view MUCH more. Bonus: they have a neat little "S" logo on the lens corner.
BTW, the colors in AR haven't changed a great deal yet, but a week or so of cool wx could change that.
No, I didn't drive the "S". I rented a Hertz Taurus in order to try out the GPS Nav on a trip. The GPS is a MUST for my next family car- best thing next to A/C in the car.

Gene, you missed our drive in the southern part of Indiana this coming Saturday, the 18th. It looks like this weekend and possibly the weekend after that will be the best to view the wonderful colors of Fall. We're going to sample the twisty roads around the Floyd's Knob area. The fellow that is setting it up for us says it should be as good as Deal's Gap.
Thank's for the tip,
Bob

Bob,
I have driven the roads between New Albany and Evansville that pass through Leavenworth and they are beautiful, twisty and a lot of fun. But Deals Gap is a whole new ball game.
I've driven the So Ind roads in my Z3 and my current S2K...and I use to drive them on weekend to/from Evansville College to Jeffersonville, long before I-64 was created, in my 1 yr old '59 AH Sprite... now that was really a blast!
