ECR Toy Run

Event Hours: 00:09:00 to 00:17:00

Come and join us for our 2nd ECR Toy Run. This years event will be open to cars and bikes. Cost is $50 per day. We would also like to ask that each participate bring 2 can goods which will be donated to several area food banks. Any new and unwrapped toys will be greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go to help many needy families. Last year we were able to put a smile on many young childrens faces Christmas morning and we are hoping to do the same this year. So come on out and join us! Tracking experience is a must. You can contact Maggie at 817-992-9774 or email at mwilliams@eaglescanyon.com to register.

Do the cars need to be pre-inspected before the track day? If so where is a place that this can be performed?

Taco,

Some of the regular ECR instructors are talking to the track about this. There may be some options for people who have no previous track experience. Stay tuned and I'll let you know.

You're on the honor system for this event. Just keep in mind that you will sign a waiver exempting the track from your own personal stupidity should you choose to bring an unsafe car.

Seriously though - ECR is hard on brakes. Make sure you've got plenty of pads and fresh fluid.

Update!

Looks like the experience requirement has been dropped. There should be several instructors on site for the weekend, and there will probably be some kind of lead & follow requirement in the green group for the first session as well.

Looks like you newbies get to come out after all!

Mandatory driver's meeting at 8:30 am both days.

Again, let me stress that ECR is a higher speed track with lots of heavy braking zones. Make sure your brake fluid and brake pads are in good shape. Fluid should have been flushed in at least the last year, and pads should have a minimum of 1/2 thickness left (you'd be surprised how quick you can go through a set of pads on the track). If you're in doubt... bring spares! There will be plenty of people trackside with tools to help you change pads and/or bleed fluid if necessary.

See you at the track!
