Does Anyone Know Of This Car For Sale?
Good evening gentleman, and gentle ladies.
Does anyone know of this car? It is for sale at LA Motorcars in Richardson.
http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=1...olor=&cardist=5
It looks like a BEAST. Wonder if anyone has seen it around DFW.
Typical s2000 noob question: Do you think it is too beefed up for a daily driver? I am getting an s2000 within the next month or 2 and this car caught my eye.

I dont' know the car but I do know LA Motorsports and that would make the car suspect.
I have looked at several cars that were for sale and ended up at LA. Back when I had several 93 RX7s a friend wanted me to find him a good car. Several DOGS that I looked at ended up at LA. A Yellow one comes to mind.
I checked the compression and because it was so low I had a mechanic friend check it out as well. I was sure I was doing something wrong. I was right and there were numerous "little" signs of other troubles including cracking vacuum hoses on the turbos (major trouble if not fixed) and exhaust in the coolant.
A week later the car ended up at LA. Since I live near and knew the car I just had to stop in. Oh the load of crap they proceeded to pile on me!
It was a one owner car - carfax said otherwise, it had been pampered by a little old lady - it was a teen who had run the crap out of it and overheated it, etc., etc. When I feigned interest and wanted to have it checked out I was told they didn't allow outside mechanics to look at their cars as several had screw up their perfectly good cars just to help a buyer get a better deal, but if anything went wrong they would fix it - their warranty said otherwise.
