Default Considering Relocating to San Antonio

As the thread suggests, I am considering relocating.
I was looking for equestrian and or boating related communities that have kids and good school districts, either North or Northeast of San Antonio.

Anythoughts would be appreciated.

Also, any advice for a Californian relocating to Texas?

The majority of us here are about 5 hours North of San Antonio. You'll probably get better response in the Central Texas forum.

I lived in SA about 10 years ago. Bring lots of t-shirts, it's hot. I think you'll find lot's of equestrian and boating stuff on the North side of town....hill country, oaks, and plenty of lakes. Boerne, 10 miles North, probably still has a decent school district for the kids.

Good luck!

You would probably have better luck posting on the Central Texas forum. San Antonio is almost 300 miles from Dallas.

I will tell you this...if you are currently a home owner in California then you're going to get a whole lotta house for the same money in San Antonio!

Best of luck.

Don't admit where you came from

Name your sons Austin and Travis.

Learn to distinguish Spanish from German from Texan. Boerne is pronounced bernie.

Try checking out the Canyon Lake area in the hill country about 45 minutes to an hour NE of San Antonio. It might be just what you're looking for.

And Gruene is pronounced "green".

In Texan, as opposed to Mississippian, "you all" is the plural form of you, never singular.
