lol she's not that short
Mina's 4'10" and she can drive her S just fine. Although she does have the softer clutch of the AP2.
I wasn't aware of the AP2 clutch being softer. I know it has a heavier flywheel and a clutch delay valve, but I didn't think it had a softer pressure plate. Are you sure about that?

Compared to her AP2, my clutch pedal definitely requires more force to depress. I'm fairly certain none of the previous owners put an aftermarket clutch in. Can anyone else chime in?

How many miles are on your '02? I replaced the clutch in my '02 at probably 50K miles with an OEM unit, and haven't ever felt that the pedal in my '08 was any softer. Of course, there was about 4 years of driving an automatic between the '02 and the '08 S2000's, so I can't really say for sure that it isn't softer.

Hmm, I think 60k? I bought it at 40k and it felt the same as it does today.

It is not the cluth pressure that is the problem.

she is 4 - 11 with short legs and long arms, which is either uncomfortable on the steering wheel or does not allow her to fully depress the clutch, but no in-between. I can hear and feel the cluth is not disengaging when she shifts in 1st after stopping

Looked around but can not find a way to adjust the pedal to allow for less cluth depression - any ideas where to find the info - I see one reply above on lengthening to acutation bar to the cylinder which I will try once it stops freezing the balls off of a ................................

I would argue engaging the clutch is easier on the ap2, even if it is the same pressure. Drove my friends 2000 Ap1 and felt like the clutch was harder to engage than my 2004 ap2.
Anyways lets stop thread hijacking . Back on topic. I vote for the pillow solution lol. if her arms are too long just put it sideways behind her lower back .
