I only play GT5 and Rock Band on the PS3. It doesn't seem like you can select who you play against on GT5, and I haven't really tried the online stuff for Rock Band, yet.
My ID on there is the same as here.

I have a 360 but I have activated the online portion yet. Really haven't had the time yet. My wife and I did play the Star Wars Trilogy Legos. I can honestly say it wasn't a bad game and the wife enjoyed it giving her a positive experience with the Xbox is always a good thing. Previously she thought console games were evil.

You should get rock band, I haven't found a girl who didn't love it. Although if it's a group of you and she walks in and sees you all playing, expect at least 10 minutes of being laughed at. Although, with her being your wife, not sure if she'll be pissed about the $170 price. It's perfect if you usually have people come over to your place though. I went down to austin for ACL and this girl I knew played it while we were there and ended up going back to NY and buying a 360 and rock band because she loved it so much, she's never played any video game before as well

My little brother has it already for the PlayStation. He brought it to my mom's house and after an evening of playing it, she went to game stop and picked up the cheapest console that supported RockBand and then picked up a copy of the lastest RockBand AND the wireless guitar! Goes to support the notion that drpeepers said, "I haven't found a girl who didn't love it."
My wife would have preferred me getting the Wii so she could play the fitness programs and the Mario Cart game! I"m tryign to convert her over to the 360 games but she likes the mario characters...

Rock Band is awesome. I was playing that with some family over the weekend. I bought the extra guitar so we have the full kit. This game is definitely most fun with multiple people playing.
