^ For the record, there's no such thing as "time to recharge or replace the refrigerant". It's not a maintenance item like oil or coolant changes. It's supposed to be a sealed system. If you require a recharge, then you have a leak somewhere. My '95 Accord w/ 200K miles on it has never had an A/C recharge, and it still blows nice & cold.

by chance, do you run the a/c during the winter for a few minutes each month to keep the seals oiled?

the car is my daily drive so it is driven everyday.
weird thing is when the aircon stops blowing cold air, i would step the accelerator in the neutral gear and the aircon would start to blow cold air again.....

if i cant find out the problem, i might just have to push the car into a workshop to find out the real problem...

It could be b/c it is 100+ degrees outside. (tongue in cheek)

Have you measured the temp blowing out before and after applying pressure to the gas pedal?

Sounds like it's a little low on freon. Go get it charged up, and see if they can find any leaks. There's a pressure switch that kicks off the compressor if it's topped off. But if it's low, it'll turn the compressor off. When you rev the engine, the pressure builds by about 5-8 psi on the low-side and it's just enough to kick the compressor on again if it's slightly low.
