While watching the news this morning, I learned that Brett Johnson, Channel 5's special interest reporter, had died at the age of 48 from cardiac complications after a hospitalization for pancreatitis. During the report, they covered some of the stories he'd done over the past 13 years, as well as briefly covering his private life. They mentioned that he loved traveling, and I was surprised to see a Suzuka Blue S2K in one of his travel shots. It's around 1:34 in the following video:

I always enjoyed watching his stories about Texas and Texans and will miss him.

 

Man, that's really sad...it really seems like everyone is dying nowadays...
Just goes to show how short life really is and how we can't take any of our days for granted.

 

Yeah, if you watch the slide show its in there and then the next slide says if he wasn't driving his car top down then he would be on a motorcycle

 

I saw this as well and was just preparing to post this thread. I was surprised, I didn't think he was as old as he was, and I also think that's still terribly young. He was always enjoyable to watch, which I've been doing almost since he started on NBC5.
