Geez Adam, sorry to hear it. Your luck with cars continues...

Hope you're able to get it covered under warranty.

Just thought I'd post an update.

I'm going to go ahead and fix it on my own. I haven't got the car back yet, but I scored one of the cylinder walls with a broken valve. I probably need both a head and bottom end, I haven't decided if I'm going to build a motor or just get a "stock" rebuild.

Thought I'd update again. Thanks for all the offers I received, I ended up finding a good deal on a motor and I'm almost ready to drop it in. This coming weekend will be spent finishing up getting the old block out, and I may start on putting the new one in depending on how progress goes.

Here's a few pics I took of the damage to the old block.

Valve to piston contact:

Scored #2 cylinder:

Broken #1 intake valve:

These came in the day after the engine blew But they will be going on the car before it gets back on the road

Oh hey man, yeah I picked them up the day before I came up there in the red car. Hopefully you will get to see them in a couple of weeks when the car is back on the road

And stickman, looking forward to meeting you as well. I definitely can't wait to drive the S2k again.
