Your car needs to be in excellent shape mechanically for this drive, it's a long drive and this course will tax your car. Have you bleed your brake system lately, is it dark colored? Change it! Are your pads of decent thickness? What is your tread depth on your tires, close to the wear bars? Your asking for trouble, or worse! Make sure you torque your lugs to factory/wheel spec's prior to this drive. Do a check underneath your car for any wear/defective/damaged suspension parts.

We want this to be a fun, uneventful drive. So do your part, do your due diligence in preparation so we all can enjoy a safe drive.

I'm considering attending. I'm from the west side of Fort Worth so it would be nice to meet some of the people that are so active on this site. I would also prefer a "slower" or rather "deliberate" paced group as I would like to enjoy the scenery and not become part of it. What time will this start? Apologies if it has been mentioned already, I didn't see it anywhere.

There will more than likely be at least two S2000 run groups. One of the two can be a "introduction" drive where you can drive at your own pace. I'm trying to have maps for everyone on the 15th so in case you get separated or wish to drive slower you can and still end up in Ben Wheeler. I'm thinking of giving the second S2000 run group at least a five minute head start before the NSX group leaves out. That way we aren't all bunched together, especially when we get to Ben Wheeler and we are all trying to park .At no time will you be expected to drive faster than your comfort level. We want everyone to enjoy the drive, their cars and at the end of the day return safely home.
So if this is your first group drive or your a hardened veteran we can accommodate you, so please don't be concerned about the drive pace.

definitely don't want people driving faster than they are capable this drive is to enjoy our cars and the s2ki community. looking at the list I am going to have to change the lunch destination to the moore store as the forge will not be able to accommodate this many people luckily it is located across the street.

As far as the pace goes, everybody should read this.

Good luck keeping up with Tom in the fast group lol he's quick

I'm not leading this drive, nor will I take the front of a group for this one. I don't know the route or plan on trying to figure it out while driving. The roads I'm used to I don't even have to think about where I'm at or what the next turn is going to be. I'm not familiar with those roads and I will simply follow the person in front, with my appropriate safety distances.
