Ben Wheeler 2.0 Redux april 19
Time: 9am
Where: Tanger Outlet Mall - Terrell, TX

There has been talk of the Ben Wheeler drive for awhile now. Vanishing Point Drsnodd and I drove a new route out to Ben Wheeler from Tanger Outlet in Terrell (which was the original meeting point), we were able to locate a better route where we are not driving 35 miles down 20 to get to our main turn off. Last week me and Steve ''Vanishing Point'' went and scouted the rest of the original route to check road conditions.
So I am proud to announce the return of the Ben Wheeler drive and it will also serve as a memorial/tribute to Brooks Gremmels, the man who had a vision to rebuild a dying town and turned it into a small artisan community with unique shops, restaurants and music.
Ben Wheeler and Edom are both artisan communities with lots of small stores and crafts shops, so fella's this is a drive to bring your wife/girlfriend on as there will be a little something that the both can enjoy!
Make sure to check your tires, brakes and take care of any services...it's going to be a fast drive. That being said, let's be safe and enjoy the drive!

I'm in! I've got a pair of FRS radios as well, just have to remember to bring them, and get batteries (as well as my camera and tripod and whatnot).
I'll suggest that we even meet up somewhere in the Garland/Mesquite area somewhere at 8 for Coffee and then make the run up 80 to Tangier at 8:30. How about the Starbucks at 1645 N Town E Blvd Mesquite, TX 75150?
