Autocross Regictration and entry level
#2
No lunch? Geez, Greg... That's the clincher for me when I say the NTS2KOC autocross events are the best around! We can't give up lunch!!!
It seems to me the ~50 entrant level is a great number. I do agree that increasing non-member fees slightly is not a bad idea, even if it only succeeds in encouraging more non S2K owners to join the NTS2KOC.

You hit on one thing that I think is a good idea. Instead of having only 2 run groups, there could be 3, where there was always a run group that was "resting". This allowed the course to stay hot at all times (i.e., no stopping for a lunch break), but it gave everyone time to go eat, rest, etc.
As for the other logistics (limiting entrants, etc) unfortunately I don't have any ideas to contribute.
One concern that I'd like to raise is that, with our more advanced timing equipment, we are able to have more cars on course. However, that decreases the amount of time between cars that corner workers have to re-set downed cones. That makes me extremely nervous, and seems like it could become a safety issue if a corner worker is not paying close attention and jets out to shag a cone right in front of an oncoming car, or also if a car spins and doesn't have enough time to recover before the next car comes along.

REGISTRATION:
I have been working with Donovan on "updating" our system at DLB. In time for the next event ALL S2000's, S2000R's, and "yearly pre-paid" folks will be able to register regardless of the number of registered drivers. In my mind, this should keep us in the 50-65 driver range which has proven to be very successful. This brings up a second question. If we automatically register all of you who Pre-Paid for the year would you be willing to cancel your registration if you couldn't make it? If so, this can be done.
With this in mind, the registration issues are solved, agreed?
ENTRY LEVEL:
In order to go to a three run-group event, earn more revenue, and leave Mineral Wells we would need 75+ drivers. I may be wrong but I'm not sure this is what we want to do? Purchasing a trailer and pylons is probably not out of the question with our 50-60 driver setup.
