Default auto window down problem?

My driver's side window will not roll down when I open the top. Has anyone had the TSB done for the driver's side window not going down? Where did you take your car and how long did it take?

I stopped by Rusty Wallis and the guy seemed clueless and told me I would have to leave to the car there so they could figure out what the problem was and how long it would take.

I know that Molly had the same problem. You might be able to PM her to see what happened

mine has the same problem.. when i lower the top, the window just sorta stopps half way it doesnt bother me though..
just lower it manually and then lower the top.. not that much hassle in my book.. it would be more of a hassle to bring it to the dealers and hope that they dont dent your doors or mess something else up.. i might bring it in to get it fixed when my warranty is almost up..
i dont have to worry about it for another 30k miles/over 2 years.

I know Molly said they had to change out the motor on her's, but it seemed like she had another problem with it also ...... for the life of me I can't remember what the other issues were. They either had to do it twice on the same door or the other window started doing the same thing

tpn,

it sounds like a design flaw with Honda.

My '01 was doing the same thing, and healed itself this weekend.

I'm planning on saving up a list and going in and having all the crap done at once; fix the cheesy-ass plastic rear window, tranny probs, window/top problem, and the rear diff if it starts complaining.

Hey guys,

Yes, I did have the problem and yes, I had it "fixed" and yes, it is broken again. However, it hasn't done it in quite a while now. I don't know if it is temperature related or what. There is another thread in S2000 Talk (I think). Do a search for "Driver's window" and you should find it. Last I read, someone said there is a permanent fix on the way.

Thanks. I've decided for now that I'll just manually let the window down rather than let my dealer touch my car.

It is a known problem. I just got my car back from replacing that issue. THey took the switch and altornator out. It's under warranty so do it a.s.a.p.
