GeneB, it sounds like you may have a poor ground or too much RCA loop going on in the installation... take it back up there and tell them what the problem is and they should be able to get it fixed for you.

Just had XM installed on my 06. Made it part of the deal on the car. Drove to OKC and back today and loved it. Have it in the house, and on the Goldwing. Sure makes travelling nice with no radio searches.
Also sound was good driving along at 70 with top down.
But, my ears are probably older than most of you, so it's all relative.

Took my car back to Circuit City- the installer did a great job removing the alternator whine. He found a crimped RCA plug and installed a noise filter. Really enjoy the Sirius radio, now. The antenna is on the front edge of the trunk at their suggestion- looks fine to me. Sometimes they work on the dash-sometimes they don't.
