The '05 vette has an ugly pod on top but the '06 hid it in the side view mirror. I wonder if we can find a way to do that on our cars.

I have Sirius in my S2000 and XM in my Titan and I like XM much better. In my opinion, it has a better selection and better sound.

Fred said pretty much the exact thing I did, but likes XM better than Sirius...

Seriously, go do the 3 day trial for each and decide for yourself which programming you like better.

I chose XM since it was less expensive, and seems like they offer more programming. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's better because XM does have the tendency to play the same stuff over and over, but that's why there's over 120+ channels. My only gripe so far is their customer support is rather useless. Thank god you can use XMradio.com to do most of the things to your account.

Car Toys did the orignal install, but when I traded in the old '05, One of the Honda Techs. swapped it over when he was doing everything else. I don't have any drop-out issues or anything or static that I've noticed. My Si has the XM Antenna on the roof, as did my Accord - and I had more static with those than I do on the S2000.

I'm confused by your "static issues"... it's a digital signal which means you either get a clean signal, a digitized signal (think like when you're watching a HD tv show and it starts pixilating) or no signal at all... There should be no introduction of static unless it's being broadcast or introduced after it gets to the decoder box. Either way it should have nothing to do with the placement of the antenna.

Well it sounds like static - so you may be right about "grounding" - I'm not audiophile nor electronics junkie - so pardon the inability to understand your jargon. But there's definitely some sort of interference..

I had a Sirius Sportser Replay 4 installed, today. (It's a new model that just came out today at Circuit City.) Neat installation using a docking mount for the Honda on the right front edge of the console and hardwired for power. I already have a plug in for my MP3 player (aux converter) that plugs in for much better sound than the FM transmitter will give.

One problem is not resolved yet: I get a high pitch whine like engine or alternator interference as the rpms increase above 4000.
