Default Any gas station with 93 octane + in Amarillo?

90 is the highest ive seen at every gas station ive been too. I only 93 octane for my car. Will 90 put more wear to the engine or make it run different?

you probably can't find anything more than 91 in the area.

It should run fine, normally the ECU will retard the ignition timing for lower octane gas.
Nothing to be worried, in my opinion.

and the key is, being at 3000ft above the sea level, with the lower air density, you don't really need the same octance rating compared to the sea-level

Just put the highest oct rating you can get.

I was just about to ask if I did an eTune on your car, since I would be concerned about 90 octane with a custom tune. Please send me a datalog with mixed driving AND a couple WOT pulls from 2500 to redline.

Thanks,
Greg

There's not really anywhere which doesn't have 91 octane. It's quite available in Amarillo.

What was said about elevation is very true. Knock just isn't as much an issue with the lower air density. However, having lived in Colorado and done many rallies and events in higher elevation areas, the turbo cars usually just carry a few bottles of octane booster to be on the safe side.
