Annual Christmas Party - Dec. 10th
Hi Folks,
The Temming's will be hosting the fifth annual S2K club Christmas party. If it is anything like past years, this is an event that you don't want to miss. The party will be held on Saturday, December 10th. The agenda for this event follows:
Club Meeting
5:30-6:30 pm - Club Planning for 2006 (Your input would be welcomed)
Social/Awards Agenda
6:30-7:30 pm - Drinks and Appetizers followed by AutoX Awards
7:30-8:30 pm - Buffet Dinner (Jo's cooking - it's all good)
8:30-9:30 pm - Christmas Lights Drive through Highland Park (I will try to print out maps this year)
9:30-10:30 pm - Dessert/Coffee
We will provide all of the food and a limited bar. As we will need an approximate head count, please respond to this thread or send me a PM. You are welcome to bring a significant other, spouse or friend- please indicate the number of people attending when you RSVP. Responses on or before Wednesday, December 7th will be greatly appreciated.
This year we will be doing a White Elephant Gift Exchange after the lights drive. If you have not done one of these before (what rock have you been under) - the idea is to bring a wrapped (bagged) gift (value $20 or less). We draw numbers to pick the order in which we choose gifts in. If you choose a gift, say a 1/18 scale diecast S2k, and someone else like that gift, they can take it away. However, you do get to choose another gift. The third time a gift is selected, it is take out of play. Note that you do not have to participate in this event. However, if it sounds good to you, join in.
For those of you who haven't been to the house before, we are located just north of downtown Dallas and slightly west of Central Expressway. The easiest way to get here is from Hwy 75 (Central Expressway). From 75 exit on Fitzhugh, go west on Fitzhugh to Buena Vista Street (approx. 1/3 mile from 75 - just past the traffic lights). Go south on Buena Vista Street (there is a e-Vet on the corner of Buena Vista). We are 1-1/2 blocks south of Fitzhugh on Buena Vista on the west side of the road in a group of 4 Mediterranean town homes. The street address is 4115 Buena Vista, Dallas, TX 75204. If you get lost, call us at 214.789.1001. You can park in and behind our driveway and I hope within one of our neighbors driveways - I will let you know. There is also plenty of street parking on Buena Vista.

Sounds like fun, thanks for putting this on for the community.
Me and the GF will be there unless something comes up, the drive sounds like it will be a blast. I can't wait to see the look on peoples faces when there's a line of brightly colored s2000's with the tops down
