After market wheel alternative
I have been trying to come up with a solution for my OEM wheels that were not only scratched up, but the clear was yellowing.
On a earlier thread I had mentioned possibly chroming them.
Well this is the final result. I had this done at Wheel Technologies in Dallas and they did a superb job. It is very subtle and pleasing to the eye. They resurfaced the faces and barrels and painted the rest using my color code to match the car's paint. They finished the job with a new coat of clear. You can go to their WEB site to see their process.
I had one wheel that was really scuffed up and they did the whole process for less than the cost of one new OEM wheel.
Here are some pics.

The painted part of the wheel looks like a reflection off of the car in the sun. You have to get up close to realize they've been painted the color of the car. Oh, by the way, the factory paints this area silver to blend in with the surface.

That does look good on the Suzuka. I don't know if there would be much difference with the Silvers, however. I considered doing something similar only using black where yours is blue. But I bit the bullet and bought aftermarket wheels.

Doug,
Where do you work. I do have a little flexibility. Send me a PM. I always like to escape for a little bit.
This Saturday is my wife's 50th B'day. I need to be the good hubby and pamper her unless I never want to live it down.
Next Saturday is autocross, but I will have old wheels on.
