7/12 BMW Auto-x?

See you guys there, then! Should be a good time, but hot. I'm bringing a water sprayer for cooling my tires between runs; we'll see if that helps prevent greasyness.
I should be bringing another RSX-S, ITR, and maybe a Z-06. All are novices. I plan on taking their money...

Z06 with a bad driver, the car will make up for it, I am convinced.
I might not have race rubber on Sat. at all. My A032's are almost gone. I will have to throw down a good time in the AM, because the tires will be toast in the afternoon. The Khumo's are toasted, period.

BMW autocross report:
Well, after two years I finally decided to check out a BMW event. Mostly to see how their events run and to scrub in my new AVi's for next weekend. I've got to say those tires are slick and squirmy when new.
Here are a few of my observations. The event ran fairly smooth considering there were 70+ drivers. Also really liked the time slips after each run. We should do this as well.
Now for what I didn't care for. Too many drivers made for long sessions. They had several timing issues because of battery/inverter problems; a generator like our Honda will help! The course design left a lot to be desired in my mind. The racing line was near/over potholes (seems to happen at every event), course was a bit hard to follow (approx. 60 cones for a 75 sec. course), and had too many hazards. There were 2 sixty mph apexes that we would never let fly at our events. One towards the fence and the other on the North end right at the edge of the pavement. This is where I understand the Subaru rolled at the PCA event. Oh, standing starts are NO fun.
Congrats to Jeremy for posting a 76.x on street tires after his R-compounds corded. He bested my time of 77.x. The guy does know how to drop the clutch.

dropping the clutch was something that I learned at the Pro Solo from several experienced drivers. I also read a Jason Saini's post regarding how to do it right and he has done it over and over several hundred times with out any issues.
clovis,
I appreciate the compliment! I think you and I on street tires would battle it out at each event. I have had alot of seat & tweak time this year. Btw, I ended up running 31psi hot in the rear and 33 psi hot in the front, with the shocks full stiff position 15 and the rears position 2.
I look forward to this Saturday!
