Okay I've hammered this car many times and I'm about 50/50 in getting any wheel spin. If I so its not a strong one and the start is pretty lame. Is it the fact the clutch is new or tires etc...
I've been driving standards for 7 yrs and I've never had this problem with my 96 gsr. whuts the deal!!! input please!!!!!

For one thing your 96 gsr did not have tires this sticky. Plus when you launched your 96 gsr, you unloaded the front end and there was less weight on the tires, which made it easier for the tires to spin, not the case here.
It took me 3000 miles of driving before I could spin the tires and I been driving rear wheel drive cars and standards for 28 years. And I don't try to launch this car very offend.
If you keep trying to launch this car, you will end up in the shop. The engine is not a torque monster, but mainly the rear diff is not set up for launching. The S2000 is not a drag racer, it is a road car. The place to drive this car is on a track or on some back roads.

If you want to have tire spin, go get a bucket of water splash it on the ground, get your rear end on it have fun.
Or be old school and go to a stop sign, get your tires on the white line, and spin away.

"Okay I've hammered this car many times and I'm about 50/50 in getting any wheel spin."
Know the saying? "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." NOT with this car. If you've been hammering on it and have not been successful at breaking the rears loose, you've more than likely have semi-cooked your clutch and put hot spots on your flywheel.

Really if you want to spin the rear tires on an S2000, we can swap tires. Mine have about 9000 miles on them and will brake lose and it would save me from buying new ones
