i would like to think so but, i don't know it's an OEM part so it should have some kind of manufacturing marking (like SN) i would think.

ask him for it and trace it to a VIN number and trace that to the owner and find out if it was stolin.

it won't have a VIN, it's an accessory unless it's from a CR

You can do what I and numerous S2000 owners have done. Etch the last six digits of your VIN in the glass at all four corners and document with photographs. File these along with the photos of where you stamped the VIN on your seats metal components (in 4 places as well) before you lock them down. You can also lock your hardtop to the car buy making your own HT locks.

There are other measures you can take as I have but (for the time being) ... I am sworn to secrecy.

I had my car a the shop this weekend and as I was heading out the rep asked me if I had an alarm, then suggested I get one due to the rash of seat thefts. Friendly advice, but I'm ashamed to say I was immediately suspicious. I don't want to live like this!!!

Ya he prob going to rob you.

Guy I knew with a ITR had crazy alarm and kill switch installed. You had to press the cig lighter in to turn the car on and that car didnt last 24 hours at his APT. Needless to say it was prob the same people paid to install the alarm

i love how we have to make it a puzzle for the thieves to figure out. i would love to make a puzzle out of my car that would make Jigsaw proud.

"yeah buddy, going to steal these seats"
*bam, strapped in seats with barbed wire seat belts

"want to play a game?"

that would be a kickass alarm system.
